Rapper T-Pain is adamant his collaborative album with Lil Wayne has not been scrapped - insisting the project is merely on hold until his hip-hop pal is released from prison. The pair has long been rumored to be making a record together after they teamed up in 2008 and released a mix-tape under the name T-Wayne. But an album never surfaced - prompting rumors the project had been scrapped.
However, T-Pain insists the record will be released eventually, but not until Wayne finishes his year-long prison sentence.
He tells MTV.com, "The T-Wayne album, we're actually gonna wait until he gets out (of prison). He has so much going on. He has Rebirth out right now. I don't wanna interrupt that. We just gonna wait until he gets out to really get in on that. We recorded a bunch of songs. But, right now, it's time for him and his personal s**t. We definitely got an album's worth of material."
And T-Pain is adamant Wayne's stint behind bars on weapons possession charges, which he began on Monday, won't affect his highly successful career.
He adds, "You still gonna get 1,000 songs from Wayne. You ain't gonna miss nothing. It's gonna be like he never went to jail. I'm pretty sure they're gonna put out a gang of songs. I'm pretty sure they're gonna do a Free Lil Wayne campaign. That's how it goes."

Chris Brown Appeals For Fans' Help
Chris Brown is begging fans to help put his music back on the radio, insisting stations across America are denying him airplay. Brown has been working to rebuild his image ever since his infamous fight with Rihanna last year, issuing a public apology for his behavior and carrying out community service for the attack.
However, the "Kiss Kiss" hit-maker admits he's struggling to make his comeback - and feels there's "nothing else" he can do to atone for the incident.
In a message uploaded to SayNow.com, Brown says, "I ain't (sic) never really did this but right now I need all of my fans' help. It's crazy because a lot of radio stations aren't playing my records. They're not being that supportive and I wouldn't expect them to. It's on the fans and what you guys do in your power to bring me back because that's all I need. Nothing else will do that except for the fans. There's nothing else that I can do. I'm doing everything that I need to do. I'm doing me as a person and I'm a better guy."
"My singing and my music I do it for you guys and everything else but it won't be possible if I'm not relevant on the radio and it wouldn't be possible for me to be an artist if I don't have any support. I can't be an underground mix-tape artist. That's where we are. I just want all my fans to help me. I love y'all. Peace."

The Material Girl brand will hit shelves in August and will include clothing, footwear and accessories.

Soulja Boy Refutes Probation Reports
Rapper Soulja Boy has dismissed reports he has been sentenced to 12 months' probation stemming from his arrest at a music video shoot in October. Police responded to complaints of noise coming from the Crank That (Soulja Boy) hit-maker's shoot in Georgia, which involved a cast and crew of 40 people, including fans he had invited to participate.
The hip-hop star, real name DeAndre Cortez Way, fled on foot when cops arrived. He was later taken to Henry County jail, where he spent the night before he was released on bond.
Reports last month claimed he was charged with obstruction and sentenced to a year on probation, as well as having to pay a $1,000 Fine.
However, the 19 year old has shot down the allegations, insisting his record is clean.
He says, "I just want to let everybody know that I didn't get probation. That was like a news blast that was everywhere. I know there's like 12 months probation going around, but I just want to let all my fans know that I ain't got no record. I ain't got no probation or nothing. I did go to court, but I just had to pay a fine so I'm not on probation."

Diddy: 'Lil Wayne Will Be Missed'
Rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs has bid farewell to prison-bound Lil Wayne, insisting he'll miss the rapper's "energy" while he's behind bars. The Lollipop hit-maker is due to be sentenced to a year in jail on Monday after he was convicted of weapons possession, stemming from a 2007 arrest. Lil Wayne has recorded new tracks and filmed music videos to be released while he is incarcerated, but fellow hip-hop star Combs maintains he will be greatly missed. And he hopes Wayne will use his jail term to better himself and serve as an example to those who look up to him.
Combs tells MTV.com, "I think we gonna (sic) miss a certain energy that Wayne has. The beauty about it is, he'll be back, and hopefully he'll come back a better person. Whenever we get in trouble, we're in the public spotlight. So hopefully there's a lot of kids out there who could learn from any mistakes that we may have put ourselves in, even if we're not guilty of the crime sometimes. We are human. People have to learn: 'Make sure you know where you're going, who you riding with, what the situation is.' We're targets. I'm just happy he doesn't have to do a lot of time and that he'll be out, and hopefully he'll use the time wisely and use it in a positive way."
Wayne was initially expected to be sentenced in a court hearing last month, but has been granted a string of postponements.

Snoop Dogg Allowed Back In Britain
Snoop Dogg has won a legal battle to gain entry to the U.K. - three years after government officials banned him from Britain. The hip-hop star, real name Calvin Broadus, incurred the wrath of immigration officials in 2006 when he was arrested following a fracas at London's Heathrow Airport.
The following year, he was denied entry into the country, with authorities arguing his previous convictions for drugs and firearms offenses made him a threat. Broadus battled against the ruling, launching a legal challenge and urging stars including David Beckham and Paul McCartney to help get the ban overturned.
It was lifted in 2008, but government officials took the case to the Court of Appeal, where it was decided the judge who reversed the ruling may have "misinterpreted the test of exclusion." Broadus refused to give up and the case went to a U.K. Asylum and Immigration Tribunal on Friday, with the star's lawyers urging officials to take into consideration his work as a high-school football coach and appearances on family-friendly TV shows including The View and his Father Hood reality series.
And The Drop It Like It's Hot hit-maker was finally successful - two senior immigration judges decided border authorities were wrong to deny the star entry. The ruling was released to both parties on Monday and has paved the way for Broadus to return to Britain.

Alicia Keys' Upbringing Kept Her Away From Drugs
Alicia Keys avoided the temptations of drugs after becoming famous, because she saw so many lives ruined by addiction while she was growing up in the Big Apple.
The Fallin' superstar spent her childhood in the impoverished Manhattan neighborhood of Hell's
Kitchen, and lived in the same apartment building as addicts and prostitutes.
Upon escaping the area after hitting the big time, Keys knew she would avoid the negative trappings of fame as she had already seen the dark side of drugs.
She said, "I always make sure I stay connected to the real world. The way I avoid temptations, what did it for me, was that I grew up around drugs, sex, alcohol and death - and I think that when you see that in your life, you know what it does to you and have no desire to do it."
