Eminem Is The Best-Selling Artist Of The Decade

Eminem has been crowned champion of the charts - the rapper has beaten the Beatles to be named America's best-selling artist of the decade.

Figures released by Nielsen SoundScan, the company which compiles the Billboard charts, have revealed the top 10 best-selling albums since 2000. And even though the Beatles landed the number one spot by shifting more than 11 million copies of their hit record 1, Eminem scored two albums in the top 10 - handing him the title of best-selling artist.

The decade's second biggest seller was No Strings Attached by Justin Timberlake's now-defunct boy-band 'N Sync, which was just 387,000 copies short of matching the Beatles.

Norah Jones' Come Away With Me was in third, followed by Eminem's two albums The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, claiming fourth and fifth place respectively.

The list of best-selling digital singles of the last decade is headed up by Flo Rida featuring T-Pain with Low, followed by Lady Gaga's Just Dance.

The top five is rounded out by Jason Mraz with I'm Yours, Timbaland featuring OneRepublic with Apologize, and The Black Eyed Peas' Boom Boom Pow.
