Bow Wow: 'is Firing All His Managers! I'm Managing Myself'

Rapper Bow Wow is taking his career into his own hands after firing his whole management team.

The star, real name Shad Moss, signed a new contract with the powerhouse behind Lil Wayne, Cash Money Records, over the summer, but he's not happy with his employees' work and is now planning to manage himself.

In a post on his Twitter.com blog last week, he wrote, "In one of those 'please don't f--k with me moods' today. I'm firing all managers! I'm managing myself. Who knows me better than me? I know this game very well..."

T.I. Released From Prison

Troubled rapper T.I. was granted an early Christmas wish on Tuesday when he was released from prison in Arkansas and allowed to transfer to a halfway house near his native Atlanta, Georgia.

The "Live Your Life" hitmaker, real name Clifford Harris, Jr., has been serving time on charges of weapons possession following his arrest in 2007.

But T.I. will get to live out the remainder of his 366-day sentence in more comfortable surroundings after moving to an incarceration facility closer to his friends and family.

The rapper's lead attorney Steve Sadow has confirmed the star's move, revealing he will spend the next three months at Dismas Charities Atlanta West in Georgia.

Sadow tells XXLmag.com, "He was released this morning from his place of incarceration in Arkansas.

"As I understand it, he's on his way back to the Atlanta area. He has to report to a halfway house in Atlanta sometime this evening. And he will then spend somewhere between the next two or three months in a halfway house, ending his Bureau of Prison sentence."

And T.I. will have a lot more freedom in his new living conditions: "A halfway house is more along the lines of a residential dormitory. You live within this house that is broken into areas for living, and you are permitted to leave during the day for certain reasons of which would be employment, medical reasons, things of that nature, and you return to the halfway house in the evening. So it's a restriction on your liberty but it's a way for you to re-enter into society and not be confined within a jail type institution 24-hours a day."

Lil Wayne To be Jail In February

Lil Wayne heads to jail in February in his New York gun case, just days after his next album comes out.

The rap star's sentencing date is Feb. 9, set in a Manhattan state court Tuesday. The Grammy winner said nothing during his brief court appearance.

He pleaded guilty in October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. The charge stemmed from a 2007 traffic stop of his tour bus. His plea deal calls for a year in jail.

Cash Money Records co-founder Birdman announced on his Twitter account last week that Lil Wayne's next album, "Rebirth," is due for release Feb. 1.

Sean Kingston Prommote PETA Campaign

Reggae star Sean Kingston has set out to prove dogs really are a man's best friend - he's starring in PETA's new pooch ad campaign.

The Beautiful Girls hit-maker, who has a pup of his own, named Sunshine, has teamed up with officials at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to promote their anti-chaining dog awareness drive, to discourage animal-owners from leaving their pets tethered up outside.

The star appears next to the tagline, 'Chill with your dogs. Never chain them' in the thought-provoking campaign - and he's delighted about his involvement with the charity.

Kingston says, "Look at it like being a human person. You're family member is outside with no room to scoot, without a place to stay... that's how they should look at it. A lot of people should just think about: if that was them. I had dogs before, but my new dog Sunshine, I've formed a huge chemistry between me and her."

Jennifer Lopez Settles Dog Case

Jennifer Lopez and her husband Marc Anthony have settled a court case with a woman who alleges she was injured by the couple's dog.

The stars were sued last month by flight attendant Lisa Wilson, who claims she suffered serious back problems after the couple's German shepherd, Floyd, knocked her over on the pair's private jet in 2006. They reached a confidential statement on Monday - after Wilson's lawyer presented testimonies from two of the couple's former employees who were also allegedly attacked.

A year after Wilson's incident, Floyd is said to have bitten the arm of the couple's personal assistant and bruised a housekeeper by head-butting her. Wilson's attorney William Cafaro maintains both unnamed workers were forced to seek medical help after the incidents.

He tells the New York Daily News, "Both employees testified (in depositions) that the attacks were not reported to authorities."

The personal assistant alleged the couple got rid of the canine after the attack, although singer Anthony testified he got rid of the dog because it was "high maintenance".

The West Wing star NiCole Robinson purchased Floyd, who was trained by police in Germany, for $35,000 in 2007.

Michael Jackson's Death Named Top Entertainment Story Of 2009

Here are 2009's top entertainment stories as voted by U.S. newspaper and broadcast editors surveyed by The Associated Press.

1. Michael Jackson Dies: On June 25, Jackson was pronounced dead at the age of 50. One of the most momentous and shocking deaths in pop culture history, the event reverberated in many ways. There was the ongoing investigation: Jackson's death was ruled a homicide, and his personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, who says he's innocent of wrongdoing, is being investigated for manslaughter. There was the gigantic Los Angeles funeral. There was the documentary, "This is It," of Jackson's preparations for a comeback concert series. But, perhaps most of all, there was the celebration of his music, on stages and sidewalks the world over.

2. Susan Boyle Becomes: Overnight Sensation: Two 21st-century powers - reality TV and the Web - combined to turn the humble, unknown Boyle into an international star. After Boyle sang "I Dreamed a Dream" on "Britain's Got Talent" on April 11, the clip spread like wildfire online, totaling more than 120 million views on YouTube. Her album, released in November, had the best opening week sales of a female debut in decades.

3. Late-Night Swap: On NBC, Conan O'Brien took over the "Tonight" show, and Jay Leno moved to 10 p.m. All the fanfare may have been overdone, though: At year's end, neither was receiving good ratings.

4. Walter Cronkite Dies: The passing on July 17 of Cronkite, a paragon of journalism and a father figure to a nation, was not only the sad loss of a universally acknowledged great man but was a reminder of a bygone era in broadcasting.

5. David Letterman Affair: Letterman's Oct. 1 announcement on his "Late Show" carried two bombshells: He alleged that he had been the victim of an extortion attempt, and he confessed to having affairs with women on his staff. Letterman, who hasn't shied from the subject on air, saw some of his best ratings in years. The man accused of trying to blackmail Letterman, Robert J. "Joe" Halderman, says he was just shopping a screenplay.

6. Chris Brown Assaults Rihanna: The big story on Grammy night in 2009 didn't take place on stage but outside the ceremony. Chris Brown assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna, an altercation that led to Brown pleading guilty to felony assault in June. Both R&B stars were in comeback mode before the year was out, releasing new albums just weeks apart.

7. Kanye West Robs Taylor Swift: Bad behavior, not awards, also ruled the story line at the MTV Video Music Awards. When a stage-crashing West interrupted Swift's acceptance speech for best female video, the rapper clearly underestimated the negative reaction he would inspire.

8. Live Video Explodes On The Web: One of the biggest trends in online video was the emergence of demand - and supply - for live video. Live online video particularly suited daytime news events (when people are at work in front of computers). Millions online watched the inauguration of President Barack Obama and the funeral of Michael Jackson.

9. Kate And Jon Gosselin Broadcast Split: One of reality TV's latest sensations fell apart just as it was reaching fruition. TLC's "Jon & Kate Plus 8" was winning its best ratings in its fifth season when the Gosselins - parents of eight children - announced their separation. With more than 10 million viewers, that episode earned the show its best ratings. Arguments in the divorce, which became final in December, have thus far prevented the show from continuing. TLC hopes to debut a show for Kate Gosselin in the spring.

10. Heath Ledger Wins Posthumous Oscar: Ledger, whose death topped the poll of 2008's top entertainment stories, remained a presence in 2009, when he won an Oscar for best-supporting actor for his performance as the Joker in "The Dark Knight."
